On-site Exercise Classes in West Berkshire

On-site Seated Chair Exercise Classes suitable for ALL ages and abilities, scroll down for details of individual classes in and around West Berkshire.

Suitable for:

  • Seniors
  • Wheelchair Users
  • Those who have been sedentary and want to ease back into exercise gently
  • People with underlying health conditions (e.g. arthritis, Parkinson’s, ME, MS, Fibromyalgia, COPD). Those in rehabilitation from illness/operations
  • Anyone who wants to improve their physical and mental health in an inclusive and accessible environment

These fun sessions to some popular tunes, show exercises from front & side views and offer different levels to follow according to ability.

An hour is allowed for the whole session, with an intro, followed by around 45 minutes of exercise consisting of:

  • A warm up routine
  • Mobilising Exercises
  • Aerobic Exercises
  • Strengthening Exercises
  • Cool down
  • Stretch
  • Relaxation/Visualisation
  • Revitaliser

Stay afterwards for a complimentary cuppa and biscuit, and to socialise and make new friends.

Featuring a special dance and movement programme designed with Parkinson’s in mind, the class includes a warm-up, 4-5 dance and movement routines to popular tunes and a cool down.

The classes are funded by a grant from Parkinson’s UK so are FREE to people with Parkinson’s subject to taking part in a short and confidential survey about the benefits of this exercise.
