It’s hard to believe that more than a year has past since MOVEability joined forces with Parkinson’s UK, working with the Newbury and District Branch of this amazing charity. We’ve had lots of fun and met some incredible people – some of whom are featured in this blog – so naturally, we are delighted that the funding of our fortnightly classes will continue into 2024.
I am never one to pass up an opportunity to showcase our fantastic classes and the benefits they bring to the communities we serve. So when one of my Chieveley class regulars asked if the class would be running the following week because Laura Farris, MP for Newbury, was scheduled to hold a surgery for her constituents that morning in the village hall, I seized the moment.
We are living longer and, in many cases, far away from close family. As such, we often only have ourselves to rely on to do everything from hoovering the house and doing the weekly shopping to reading the gas and electricity meters. And a growing number are doing it well into their eighties or nineties.
We are growing! We are thrilled to announce that MOVEability are launching a new class in Chieveley. Thanks to increasing demand and additional support from Connecting Communities in Berkshire and Get Berkshire Active.
