I took my mum (who’s 78) to her chair excercise in lambourne last week and sat in to watch. She has macular degeneration so can’t see very well and I wanted to see how she coped with the class and the answer was, brilliantly. Debbie is an amazing teacher. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow. She played good music (not too loudly) that made it relaxed and fun for everyone. She had a great combination of exercises to warm up the muscles, give them a bit of a workout ( at your own pace) and then a stretch afterwards. My mum has had quite a few health problems recently and has not been very mobile and so to see her follow the class, get everything moving and enjoy meeting the other people made me so happy. Debbie really takes the time to make the class available to all abilities. It’s good for the body and mind. Following a few instruction's helps keep the mind focused while the body gets stronger. I would highly recommend this class to people of any age who would like to get some excercise but find it difficult to stand for too long. We stayed and had a cup of tea afterwards and met some of the other people in the class and that was really lovely too. mandy jane2024-10-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Having retired last year, I noticed my joints had stiffened up significantly. I have suffered from arthritis since my early teens but since participating in the Wednesday online session I have certainly seen some improvement. Debbie is very professional and the class very friendly. Its just the right pace for me and does not aggravate my joints at all. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Going along to Alice Bye court on a Thursday for seated exercises has not just improved our mobility but also increased our social circle. After the exercise we have a well deserved cup of tea and a chat which is just as important Edna Dowsett2022-07-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a stroke back in April affecting my left side. After a month in hospital I received some physio and one of my ladies gave me the get Berkshire activelink, I am so glad I followed it up. Debbie & Julie run both the excercise and dancersize classes they are so so beneficial to me. Whilst stretching and trying to dance I'm also having lots & lots of fun. I told my new physio about it and she also asked me for the link to give to some of her other ladies & gents. Thank you Debbie & Julie for doing what you do. You Rock. I have been a member of the Mindset Massage Get Berkshire Active chair seated exercise class since inception. I am 81 and in pretty good health except for arthritis in my back and left shoulder. Being sedentary during the lockdowns is not good for this condition because of increased pain and stiffness which in turn leads to depression. I joined the Mindset Massage chair seated exercise group with leaders and Mandy and Debbie. I have benefitted so much from these classes by being able to move easier, bend, walk and have less pain. Above all this is the most pleasant group I have ever attended the leaders are warm, caring and friendly as are all the members. Via zoom we are able to chat and hear what others are doing and it makes my day altogether pleasant. My back is being attended to by the Berkshire Orthopaedic Clinic who commented that I should continue these exercises as I would only benefit from them. Three Cheers to a wonderful team.
