We are absolutely thrilled to share an encouraging update on our fundraising campaign for the Big Christmas Lunch, and it is in no small part thanks to the sheer courage and community spirit of our very own Debbie Mumford and of course your generosity! The latest count is in for Debbie’s heroic paragliding challenge—and your support has been phenomenal! We couldn’t have done it without you.
Debbie Takes Flight (and Does the Hand Jive!)
You might remember Debbie Mumford’s pledge to soar to new heights to raise funds for her brainchild, our first ever Big Christmas Lunch. Well, she didn’t just complete the challenge; she soared to 3,000 feet and completed it with the signature MOVEability flair that we all live, breathe and love!
Facing the exhilarating drop, Debbie took off and enjoyed a breathtaking flight over the stunning Cotswold countryside. The defining moment of the flight, which perfectly captured the fun spirit of Debbie and all our instructors and truly exemplified the MOVEability spirit, was:
We’d challenged her in class—and she rose to it, performing a mid air Hand Jive!
Debbie’s courage was fueled by the generosity of our class participants, carers and supporters, and her daring efforts raised an astonishing total of £1,200!

Big Christmas Lunch Fundraiser: exceeding expectations
The success of the Big Christmas Lunch relies on the kindness of many, and we are so proud to reveal that the funds from Debbie’s paraglide have combined with other generous efforts, driven by Debbie, push our total higher than we ever imagined.
We’re currently at around £1700
That total proves we are much more than an exercise class: we are a community. You, your support, and your generosity are integral to that. With the uptake currently exceeding 100 people we have set our fundraising goal even higher!
Our New Goal: £2,000!
With Christmas fast approaching, and more than 100 people accepting their invite, we are now setting our sights on a fantastic new milestone. We want to reach £2,000 to ensure this first ever Big Christmas Lunch is an unforgettable afternoon of connection, food, and festive fun for everyone who attends our classes, regardless of their financial circumstances.
If Debbie can soar to 3,000 feet and complete a mid-air Hand Jive, we can certainly hit this target together!
