A friendly welcome in Lambourn

Friends sat around a table

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending Lambourn’s very own friendship cafe, run by the wonderful Julie Blogg. Not only that but I got to demonstrate some seated chair exercise and show just how FUN it can be. I look forward to seeing some of the new faces I met today at our Friday Lambourn class.

Known as the Lambourn Junction Friendship Cafe, one of a number of projects run by the award-winning Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company, it is said to bring Lambourn’s Memorial Hall alive with its vibrant spirit. I certainly felt it when I visited. It’s an amazing commodity that both serves and reflects the strong, thriving community in Lambourn.

Just like MOVEability, the Lambourn Junction Friendship Cafe prides itself on its inclusivity and accessibility. It is a warm and friendly place, a ‘home away from home’ where everyone is welcome regardless of age or background. A space where everyone is valued, no matter the obstacles they face.

The friendship cafe runs on the last Thursday of the month from 10.30 to 12.00. The cafe is free, but voluntary donations are always welcome.
