I took my mum (who’s 78) to her chair exercise in Lambourn last week and sat in to watch. She has macular degeneration so can’t see very well and I wanted to see how she coped with the class and the answer was, brilliantly. Debbie is an amazing teacher.
Her instructions were clear and easy to follow. She played good music (not too loudly) that made it relaxed and fun for everyone. She had a great combination of exercises to warm up the muscles, give them a bit of a workout ( at your own pace) and then a stretch afterwards. My mum has had quite a few health problems recently and has not been very mobile and so to see her follow the class, get everything moving and enjoy meeting the other people made me so happy. Debbie really takes the time to make the class available to all abilities. It’s good for the body and mind. Following a few instruction’s helps keep the mind focused while the body gets stronger. I would highly recommend this class to people of any age who would like to get some exercise but find it difficult to stand for too long. We stayed and had a cup of tea afterwards and met some of the other people in the class and that was really lovely too.
